Hi, I’m Lily!

Independent Product researcher | Mom in hawaii

I started Naturally Non-Toxic because I wanted to make better choices for my own home and family, without turning everyday life into a full-time chemistry project.

Once I started paying closer attention to ingredients, materials, fragrance, food-contact surfaces, and product claims, I realized how confusing “non-toxic” shopping can be. Greenwashing is everywhere. A product can say “clean,” “natural,” “eco-friendly,” or “non-toxic” without telling you much about what is actually inside it, what touches your food or skin, or whether the brand is willing to answer basic questions.

I built Naturally Non-Toxic to be the shortcut I wished existed.

I do the digging, compare the details, and explain what I find in plain English so you can make more informed choices without spending your entire night reading product labels and twenty-seven conflicting Reddit threads.

What I Do Here

Naturally Non-Toxic is a practical resource for people who want to make lower-tox swaps without throwing away everything they own or chasing perfection.

I research product ingredient lists, material disclosures, brand documentation, certifications, product manuals, and other available information. I pay attention to what a brand clearly explains, but I also pay attention to what is missing.

My strongest areas of focus include:

  • Non-toxic kitchen products, cookware, air fryers, food storage, and food-contact materials
  • Cleaner protein powders, pre-workout, shaker bottles, and everyday fitness essentials
  • Baby and kids products, including toys, water bottles, lunch gear, gifts, and family basics
  • Fragrance-conscious cleaning, personal care, and beauty products
  • Realistic lower-tox swaps for everyday life

When I make a recommendation, I aim to explain not only what I like, but also what I could verify, what I would still question, and who the product may or may not be a good fit for.

My Approach

I do not believe a product is automatically “safe” because a brand calls it clean, natural, organic, dermatologist-tested, or non-toxic.

Those terms can be a starting point, but they are not the whole answer.

I look for clear ingredients, meaningful material information, transparent product details, and brands that are willing to answer reasonable questions. I am especially cautious with unnecessary synthetic fragrance, vague material descriptions, traditional nonstick coatings in food-contact products, unclear plastics, and products that rely on big claims with very little documentation behind them.

What You Can Expect From Naturally Non-Toxic

You will find product guides, comparisons, practical shopping advice, ingredient and material explainers, and honest notes about what I would personally choose for my own home and family.

You will not find fear-based messaging, pressure to replace everything overnight, or a promise that one product is perfect for every person.

Small changes count. Better information counts. A home that works for your real life counts.
